1957 Jubilee Jamboree

by | Oct 31, 2024

The 1957 World Scout Jubilee Jamboree was held in Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield and celebrated 50 years since the initial Robert Baden Powell camp on Browsea Island, which led to the The Scout Movement. The husband of one of Holy Trinity Church parishioners, attended the Jamboree as a young Scout and copies of his photographs are displayed here. Even that it’s more than 50 years ago, aside from tents, I spotted the ever present feature at any Scout camp, large or small. Mud!!!
