Squirrels

4 to 6 years

Helping young people gain skills for life at a time when it matters most!

Who are Squirrels?

We are the NEW 4th Formby Squirrels. During term time, we will meet every Wednesday from 4.30pm until 5.30pm in the Workshop.

Squirrels can achieve anything they set their minds t0 – and they have lots of fun along the way!

Squirrels is a brilliant opportunity for young people to take their first step into being part of Scouts, and it’ll help everyone get ready for the adventure of school too.

Sessions will be packed with outdoor activities, fun, games, badges, laughter and so much more to help our youngest members learn the skills they need for life.

Our Uniform

Our uniform gives everyone in Scouts a sense of belonging.

Wearing a uniform is comfy and practical. It means you can run round and get messy without ruining your other clothes. It makes you feel part of a team.  It means no one feels uncomfortable or left out. And it gives you a place to show off all the brilliant badges you earn.

Badges

Our badges and awards are part of what makes us Scouts. And Squirrels love earning them!

There’s never any pressure to do badges. Squirrels can do as many or as few as they like. For those up for a challenge, there are loads of exciting badges to aim for, with the highest award in Squirrels being the Chief Scout’s Acorn Award.

This Term’s Programme of Activities

We would love you to join us!

Details of the programme can be found in the Parents Portal of OSM. Contact a Leader if you haven’t had your OSM link.

For all outdoor meetings bring a coat, snack, whistle & torch. For all walks, we are in need of parents helpers to make it possible.

Please let us know if you are available to help!
